WHAT IS A SCARY VAN??
Great question but you will know it when you see it but if you are still unable to spot them it is my goal to make the identification process easier. These are the vehicles that Ted Bundy might have driven. They are the type of cars you see when you watch the news and they talk about kidnappings or child abductions. In fact even Hollywood is in on the deal. Jame Gumb in Silence of the Lambs when he snatched his victims, what was he driving? A very scary brown 1980's van with no windows. The media perpetuates the hysteria as well. Remember the DC Sniper case? The original description of the suspect vehicle was a white van with a rack on top! The message........vans are dangerous. The more common of these vehicles are easy to spot and are fairly abundant although I must say I have noticed a steep decline in recent years of their presence on the road. Identification is easy if you look for these key features:
1. It is just generally scary and creepy
2. The van has a lot of rust and is beat up
3. Dark colors are better
4. You can always get a hint from the driver's looks
5. Dark tinted windows (you can substitute curtains in some older models or combination)
6. Lack of any windows in back
7. Small portal or bubble windows in the back usually in the shape of a teardrop or diamond
8. And the crown jewel: a mural of any kind painted on the side (dragons, Conan, skulls etc.)
